Rev. W. Stephen Morse began serving the community of Greensburg First United Methodist Church in July of 2011.

Pastor Steve is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, with a degree in Music: Vocal Performance, and a graduate of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. 

After graduating from IUP, Steve was hired by the Christ UMC in Erie, PA, as Pastoral Assistant and Director of Music.  A year later the position expanded to include Youth Coordinator.  After three years of ministry in Erie, God's call led Steve to seminary.

When he graduated from seminary in 1989, Pastor Steve was appointed to the Westmoreland Charge, which consisted of Mt. Nebo & Owensdale UMC's.  After being there for two and a half years the Alverton UMC was added to the charge.  In 1993 he was appointed as the pastor of the Penn's Woods UMC in Irwin, PA.  In 1997 Steve became the Associate Pastor of the Grace UMC in Grove City, PA, and in July of 2004 he was appointed as the pastor of the Unionville UMC in Rochester, PA.

Within the Annual Conference Steve has served on the Conference Sessions Ministry Team as the Coordinator of Worship for over 11 years.  Steve has been a Song Leader for the Annual Conference as well for more than 15 years.  In January of 2011 he began to serve as the director of the Western Pennsylvania Conference United Methodist Ministers' Chorus.

In June of 1983 Pastor Steve married Lynne, and they have 2 daughters, Bethany and Gabrielle.  They also have a couple of furry family members.
